Freshwater & Marine

In Latin, "Satus" translates to “Start".

NT Labs Satus quickly establishes & enhances aquarium biofilters. It accelerates the maturing of aquarium systems, and prevents ‘new tank syndrome’, therefore making new aquariums safe for fish.

  • Satus is a valuable new tool for all fish keepers as it quickly establishes and accelerates the maturing of aquarium systems.
  • Satus contains our innovative ‘Satus organism’ capable of rapidly removing ammonia without relying on the traditional, slower nitrifying cycle. Working under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions, our ‘Satus organism’ can also degrade organic compounds which bacteria cannot. It has a higher metabolic rate that provides faster breakdown of organic wastes to prevent them building up in the aquarium.
  • Satus also contains a concentrated unique blend of heterotrophic and autotrophic organisms, including aerobic and anaerobic nitrifying bacteria that rapidly remove harmful ammonia and nitrite by converting them into nitrates, and will not produce hydrogen sulphide. This process prevents toxic ‘new tank syndrome’ providing a safer environment for your fish. Satus is harmless to all aquatic species including plants and cannot be overdosed. Always test your aquarium water using NT Labs Test Kits.
  • Optimus should also be used alongside Satus when starting up new aquariums, during water changes, and as part of a regular maintenance routine.

How to use:

  • Shake bottle thoroughly before use.
  • Turn off UV/ozone. Turn back on 2 hours after adding Satus.
  • Calculate aquarium volume litres (length x width x depth (in cm)/1000).
  • See label for full dose rate
  • If dosage is maintained for the full 7 days, fish and other aquatic species can be added to the aquarium at any point.
  • Add monthly for improved biofilter function and add; when introducing new fish, after each filter clean/water change, after treating the aquarium with medication.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool dry place.
  • Satus cannot be used as a replacement for an aquarium filter but should be used alongside one.

0 ml

1 capful is approximately 5ml. For smaller volumes, each cap thread is approximately 1ml.

Add 5ml per 50L of aquarium water on the first day (Shown in this calculator).

Add 5ml per 100L of aquarium water daily for 7 days - If dosage is maintained for the full 7 days, fish and other aquatic species can be added to the aquarium at any point.

For improved biofilter function, add 5ml per 100L of aquarium water monthly and; when introducing new fish, after each filter clean/water change, after treating the aquarium with medication.

*Always follow the instructions on the label. This calculator is intended to be used only as a guide to how much product you need to buy to treat your system. It does not account for displacement caused by gravel, rocks, ornaments, or any other objects in the tank, and does not include the volume of any external filtration system. The result assumes the aquarium/pond is filled to the brim. NT Laboratories Ltd. will not accept any responsibility for inaccuracies or misuse of this guide.
